"Sosna poem" *
Every Time I Climb A Sosna
Every time I climb a sosna,
I scrape a leg or skin a knee.
And everytime I climb a sosna,
I find some ants
Or dodge a bee.
And get the ants
All over me.
And every time I climb a sosna,
Where have you been?
They say to me.
But they don't know that I am free.
Every time I climb a sosna,
I like it best,
To spot a nest.
That has an egg
Or maybe three.
And then I skin
The other leg.
But every time I climb a sosna,
I see a lot of things to see.
Swallow rooftops and TV
And all the fields and farms there be.
Did you notice it doesn't rhyme? Try substituting "pinetree" instead of "sosna".
Now, do you know what "sosna" means?*) adjusted version of "Every Time I Climb a sosna" by Amelia Chow (her website). I have replaced every word "tree" for "sosna". Sosna originally comes from Poland and it means "pinetree". I have no idea of whereabouts the "Sosna" family name came from, but well, it's "Sosna" now. As ridiculus as it sounds in English, "Sosna" is actually a very recognized name at where I come from. I guess that comes from my "Sosna" grandparents!
